the stage
Tasked to plan and conceptualize ideal dwelling fit for my peer and I to conduct our rituals of work, rest and play within.
Working in pairs, we translated and designed a spatial intervention which will serve as a transient space for the both of us to perform our rituals and will be transformable in nature to suit each users’ rituals and needs. The dwell ing addresses proportion, scale, ergonomics and rituals of both users, with respect to the given site conditions and application of design technique.
The Stage is a compact space for two users.
The design of the space is based off a performance stage and reflects the arrangement of our rituals.
The performance always happens in the front of the space, the backstage is where rest takes place and the preparation is always done further back, hidden.
